Rotary Huron Shore Run is a community event in it’s 31st year promoting physical fitness through road races and walking while raising money for the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation. Entry level competitors are welcome. All participants enjoy roadside refreshments and a free lunch donated by the Walker House. See event prices & starting times.
Runners This is a class A race accredited by Athletics Ontario (Accreditation AA 201806009). It is a beautiful course along the shore of Lake Huron, with very little elevation change. In addition to the half marathon, there are 5 km and 10 km races for various age groups (male & female), a 3 km race for 14 & under and a PLAY Fun Run for 8 & under. All runners will receive a tech dry fit style T-shirt. All half marathon finishers will get a medal. After registering on line, you can email friends and colleagues to sponsor you on line. For magazine articles with running news and training tips, go to our Resources page.
Walkers It is not intended to be a competitive race, but a challenge to you to do your best, and enjoy the experience. Because we can’t guarantee that no one will run, prizes will be for participation rather than the fastest time. If you raise an additional $15 in pledges, you will receive a technical T-shirt.
Children’s Fun Run Saugeen Shores Children’s PLAY network organizes an 800M fun run for children 8 and under. Children whose parents enter one of our races may be entered with their parent on-line. Children may also enter on the day of the race at the Wellness fair in Southampton Coliseum.
We encourage everyone to register online. However, paper registrations can be downloaded and brought to the Southampton Coliseum, Southampton, from 6:30-8:00 pm Friday, June 1st. Package pickup, last minute registrations, prize distribution and lunch will take place at the Coliseum. Instructions by email will be sent out to on-line registrants in the week preceding the race.
